Baccarat basics without the intimidating table talk
A baccarat round compares two hands called Player and Banker. These labels identify the hands; they do not mean that you personally play one hand while the house controls the other. Before the deal, you select a betting area. nostar then deals the cards and applies the standard drawing rules automatically. The hand with a total closest to nine wins.
Aces count as one, cards from two to nine keep their face value, and tens, jacks, queens, and kings count as zero. Only the last digit of a total matters. If a hand contains seven and eight, for example, the total is fifteen and the baccarat value is five. This simple rule is central to nostar baccarat and quickly becomes familiar after a few practice rounds.
An initial total of eight or nine is called a natural. When a natural appears, the round will normally end without another card. Otherwise, the table may deal a third card according to fixed rules. Players at nostar are not expected to memorise the full drawing chart before taking part because the game resolves it automatically. Still, knowing why a card appears can make the experience easier to follow.
Player bet
You are backing the Player hand to finish closer to nine. It is a simple main-table option and usually pays according to the displayed even-money rule. Check the nostar game information before confirming a wager.
Banker bet
You are backing the Banker hand. Its drawing rules give it a small mathematical advantage over Player, so many tables apply a commission or adjusted payout. nostar displays the applicable terms inside the selected game.
